Candyland Holiday Festival

Held in December in Community Park, 13094 Civic Center Dr. Kids can meet Santa, play in tons of fresh snow and a fun jump, visit magical areas such as Lollipop Park and Tootsie Roll Forest, and make holiday crafts in Santa's Workshop. Roving carolers, face painting and balloon character creators. Sponsored by City of Poway Community Services Dept., (858) 668-4570. Farmers Market every Saturday from 8 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. with produce sold directly to you by the farmer. Rain or shine! Certified by the County Agricultural Commissioner.

Lake Poway

Due to wildfire, most activities in Lake Poway are suspended until further notice. Fishing and boating will resume at Lake Poway on December 5th.

Native American Heritage Site Welcomes Visitors

Third Saturday of every month - The Friends of the Kumeyaay welcome you to visit the Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive Center at 13104 Silver Lake Drive in Poway. The site is interesting both from archaeological perspective and for its potential to educate us about Kumeyaay cultural heritage. Docents lead interpretive tours the third Saturday of every month, and there is no charge to visit. The Docents also assist with school tours during the week. Last year over 42 groups of school children visited the Center. You will enjoy several new enhancements when you visit, including native botanical landscape, additional shade ramadas, and informative stories about local heritage.
